“No disaster can overtake you, no plague come near your tent; he has given his angels orders about you to guard you wherever you go.”
[Psalm 91: 10-11]
The doctrine of the angels is part of the Church’s tradition; that God assigned a heavenly spirit to watch over us in our daily lives. Each person has with them a guardian angel – one to whom guides us on a right and moral path to good thoughts, works and words, and to preserve us from evil. Most importantly, they help lead us to God.
They have also been assigned a Feast Day in the Church calendar on October 2.
Guardian Angel Prayer
Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
